Shaking Table Test on the Response of a Cross Interchange Metro Station under Harmonic Excitations Refers to a Single Two-Storey Metro Station

Interchange is essential in a metro network. Regarding the seismic performance, series of large-scale shaking table tests were performed on an interchange station. The station was composed two-story section rigidly connected to perpendicular three-story section, leading abrupt change stiffness conjunction area. Synthetic model soil (a mixture sand and sawdust) granular concrete with galvanized steel wires used soil–structure system. motion input along transversal direction structure, including white noise sinusoidal excitations. Parallel single correspondingly carried out as contrast. Test data recorded by accelerometers strain gauges are presented. bending strains columns measured found be smaller than those concentration longitudinal observed near conjunction.
